Letters fall.
You spell your way out.

A word game with a falling-block problem underneath it. Tiles drop, you place them, and any word you form across or down clears itself off the board. Rare letters are worth more. Long words are worth a great deal more.

How it plays

Three rules, and then it is just you and the board

If you have played a falling-block game you already know the controls. The difference is what makes a line disappear.

STEP 01

Place the falling tile

One lettered tile at a time, sliding down a board you choose the size of. Drop it where it does the most good — or where it does the least harm.

STEP 02

Spell across or down

Any valid word sitting in a row or a column is found for you. No dragging, no submit button — build it and the board notices.

STEP 03

Clear it, then keep the chain

The word lifts off and everything above falls into the gap. If that landing spells something too, the chain multiplies — up to eight times the score.

Words of four letters or more clear on their own. Anything shorter asks first, with a timer, so a stray two-letter word never spends a board position you were saving — which only ever comes up on the 3×6 and 5×10, the two boards that accept words that short. Every word you clear comes with its dictionary definition, if you want it.

Scoring

A Q is worth ten. A six-letter word is worth five times that.

Every letter carries a value, and word length multiplies the lot. Type anything below and watch what it would pay.

Letters24 × Length ×5 Word score120+24 XP
Length multiplier
2–3 letters×1
4 letters×2
5 letters×3
6 or more×5

Chained clears multiply again — 1, 2, 3, 5, then 8 — so one well-placed tile can be worth more than the ten before it. Experience is a fifth of your score, and it accrues for as long as you keep playing.

The shortest legal word is set by the board, not the dictionary — two letters on the 3×6, five on the 11×22. The multipliers above are the same everywhere.

The dictionary decides what counts as a word. This does the arithmetic.

Boards

The bigger the board, the longer a word has to be

Board size is the difficulty setting nobody expects. It is not just more room — each step up raises the shortest word the board will accept, so the 11×22 will not take anything under five letters.

Small

3 × 6

Words of 2–6 letters

Medium

5 × 10

Words of 3–10 letters

Large

7 × 14

Words of 4–14 letters

Extra large

11 × 22

Words of 5–22 letters

Difficulty changes how fast the tiles fall; the board changes what counts as a word. Every combination keeps its own leaderboard, so a hard 3×6 run is never measured against an easy 11×22 one.
